Mardi Gras (21st June 2025)

Towards the end of June, there’s the famous Mardi Gras festival. Imagine incredible music, amongst a truly remarkable setting of snowy mountains. With plenty of shuttle buses to take you to and from the action, you’ll have the time of your life with your friends.

NZ Mountain Film Festival (26th – 27th of June 2025)

In July, Queenstown will host the NZ Mountain Film Festival. Where you can listen to speakers, watch a range of films, take part in workshops and learn from some of the inspirational adventurers in New Zealand.

Winter Pride (15th – 24th of August 2025)

If that’s not enough to get your heart-racing, then from late August to early September there’s the colorful celebration of love that is Winter Pride. A series of events to recognize the work of activists that have paved the way for those in the LGBTQ+ communities to live without discrimination.

Snow Machine (8th – 14th September 2025)

Finally, in early September there is the Snow Machine festival, which combines the typical fun of a music festival with adrenaline fueled thrills of skiing holiday. It’s the coolest way to enjoy snow while you get the most out of everything Queenstown has to offer.
